On the rainless evening of July 8, 2005 I believe I heard the vocalizations of a single male <em>Anotheca spinosa</em> from a densely forested, vertical hillside opposite our campsite near Vista Hermosa, Sierra Juarez, Oaxaca. The call was a distinct &#8220;Booop. Boooop.&#8221; Other species calling this night were <em>Agalychnis moreleti</em> and <em>Smilisca cyanosticta</em>.</p>
